5 Dec Announcement at services today that Rev Mary Cruddas will take her last service here on Sunday 23rd January. Mary has been appointed as a Team Vicar to work as part of the Schorne Team with responsibility for the parish of Waddesdon (Waddesdon with Over Winchendon and Fleet Marston). "This also offers the chance to work in some of the excellent schools in the area and to improve the ways in which we work with young people across the Team. You will need to have an understanding of the nuances of rural life and its challenges. There is a large, modern house in a village with nearly every amenity you could ask for. There are excellent local schools with strong church links and easy access to most of the country while London is still only an hour away." Our best wishes to Mary and her family in their preparations for the next step in their lives.21 Nov It is understood that Dorothy Paine's funeral took place very privately in October. Dorothy had been a Churchwarden, helped in the Parish Office and worked with children.
The funeral of Margaret Chapman will be at 12.30 on Thursday 25th November in the Parish Church. Margaret had been on the Committee of the Friends of the Parish Church and helped in many other ways.

Sat 2 Oct 2pm-4pm L Parish Church Organfest 2010 As part of the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival, Concerts In Church present Organfest 2010, as a follow-up to the very successful one held two years ago. Four organists, Anthony Cairns, Graham Thorp, Mark Laflin and Peter Lutton have been invited to play for half an hour each on the 18th Century Thomas Parker organ between 2pm and 4pm in Leatherhead Parish Church. Entry is FREE, so all are welcome to come and sit for as long or short as they wish to enjoy the music. 14 May On Sunday 9 May 2010 we had a VISION PROCESS PARISH MEETING following the morning service and coffeetime, during which we had our BYO packed lunches - the meeting went on into the late afternoon. A report will appear in the June parish magazine.

9 Dec News of the death of Ron Presley OBE early this morning. A former Chairman of the Friends of Leatherhead Parish Church and past President of the Lawn Tennis Association. His cremation will take place privately (21 Dec) and a Service of Thanksgiving will be arranged in the New Year.

28 Jun Bishop Ian Brackley announces at Family Communion that the panel selecting the new Incumbent was favourably impressed with the quality of the four candidates; an offer made to one of them has been accepted verbally. An announcement will be made once the due formalities have been completed.
May: On 3 May Jameson Jonathan Bates was baptised here. On 10 May Natasha, his mum, was baptised at the Deanery Confirmation service at St Nicolas Bookham, along with David Durrant. They were also confirmed, as were Linda Durrant and Jackie Chitty.
